Pillow Talk was getting together for our Holiday party tonight at the Hungry Brain and decided to invite you all along! Music is starting around 8:30 and we’re on first. Just like any work holiday party we’ll all be hammered saying mean things about the guy in accounting and making it hard to look any co-workers in the eyes until spring due to drunken full frontal nudity. September 11th we’re joined by The Sometimes Family an “upbeat soul band with old-fashioned backup harmonies, strong bass lines…that aims to get you out of your seat and onto the dance floor”  and Speed Of The Devil who “evokes the darker side of blues and country…[and] is driven by unrelenting percussive grooves and raw chicken-greasy guitar, with vocals floating and growling throughout.”

I hope you’re as excited as us! As usual we’ll have out our Sweet Talk! Cookies for sale and some new songs to show yah.  Bailey has vowed to drink all the dollar beers they have at the Red Line Tap that night.  It’s worth it to just SEE what will happen.  9PM Show start! $5!

Pillow Talk

Pillow Talk recently played at the University of Chicago’s Orthogenic School for a fun after school summer activity.  The kids were AWESOME!  Here’s the email we got from the coordinator of the event

Back in March, I was apart of a tracking session in the studio at school with @PillowTalkAgency.  We cut a couple tracks that day, but I zeroed in on this one - “Heartbeat” - and mixed/edited it over the subsequent few weeks.

The band was a blast to work with that day, we all had a great time, and this glowing opinion most certainly comes without forced solicitation.  (Wink wink nudge nudge)

“For fans of cutesy, over-the-top, blow-your-brains-out rockabilly, Pillow Talk is a band that is comforting, sometimes sweet, kinky, and always a good time.” (taken from the group’s Facebook)
